Alec H. Jaret, D.M.D.

Director of Dental Services

In 1989, Dr. Alec Jaret co-founded HealthDrive Corporation and HealthDrive Dental Group. Dr. Jaret has more than 30 years of patient care experience in long-term care facilities and his expertise led the American Dental Association to recognize the HealthDrive Dental Group for its ability “to advance the art and science of geriatric dental health.” Dr. Jaret received his Bachelor of Arts from Yeshiva University and his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine.

Jeffrey L. Morer, O.D.

Director of Optometry Services

Dr. Jeffrey Morer is the founder and Practice Director of the HealthDrive Eye Care Group. With more than 30 years of experience in the eye care profession, he continues to be a leader in providing optometric care in the geriatric population. His seminal publication of “The Nursing Home Optometric Examination” enhanced the standard of care for delivering optometric services in the long-term care setting. Dr. Morer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, magna cum laude, Boston University, and a Doctorate in Optometry from the New England College of Optometry.

Laura L. Tasse, Au.D

Director of Audiology Services

Dr. Laura Tasse has been with HealthDrive since 1997, prior to which she gained her clinical experience in a variety of medical facilities including hospitals, ENT offices, and the American School for the Deaf. She is licensed to practice Audiology in ten states and is a member of the Speech Language and Hearing Association. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Emerson College, a Doctor of Audiology degree from Arizona School of Health Sciences, and a Master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Shadi A. Abboud, DPM

Director of Podiatry Services

Dr. Shadi Abboud has been treating skilled nursing facility residents with HealthDrive for over a decade. He has been practicing podiatry for 13 years, with clinical and operating room experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and obtained a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Barry University School of Graduate Medical Sciences.

Riya Altomonte, DPM

Director of Podiatry Services

Dr. Riya Altomonte grew up in Maryland. She received her Bachelors of Science from Loyola College in Maryland. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She has worked for HealthDrive for 14 years.

Ricardo A. Mujica, MD.

Director of Psychiatry Services

Dr. Mujica has over 20 years of experience in the field of psychiatry. He joined Healthdrive Corporation in 2019 after working at New England Geriatrics as its Medical Director. He has had clinical and administrative experience in inpatient, outpatient, and longterm care settings. He is a Board Certified Psychiatrist by the board of Neurology and psychiatry in General, Geriatric, and addiction psychiatry. He completed his Residence training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and his Advanced Residence in Geriatric and Addiction psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine.

Michele Trbovich, DPM

Director of Podiatry Services

Dr. Michele Trbovich grew up in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Wayne State University and also studied neuropathology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Trbovich obtained her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine degree from The New York College of Podiatric Medicine and went on to complete a surgical residency at Botsford General Hospital. She has worked for Healthdrive for 15 years.

Daniel B. Baker

President and CEO

As President and Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Baker leads HealthDrive’s dedicated team in industry innovation and expansion along with our M&A and strategic initiatives. Dan was elected CEO in September 2017 after serving as HealthDrive’s Chief Operating Officer for four years. Prior to joining HealthDrive, Dan worked for Omnicare, a provider of pharmacy services to the long-term care industry, for ten years. In his role as Regional Vice President, he managed ten pharmacy operations with an annual revenue of $550 million and led the turnaround of challenged operating units. Mr. Baker has a B.S. in Chemistry and a Minor in Economics from Georgetown University.

Gean Carlo Padilla

Chief Financial Officer

Gean Carlo Padilla joined HealthDrive in 2018 and brings over 15 years of overall working experience. Prior to HealthDrive, Mr. Padilla held a number of positions of increasing responsibility at Philips, most recently serving as CFO for the Population Health Management Business Group and was responsible for the finance functions across the Telehealth, Wellcentive and Lifeline business units, including leading M&A transactions and associated restructurings and consolidations. Mr. Padilla has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and an M.B.A. from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Rory Kallfelz

Chief Administrative Officer

Since 1992, Rory Kallfelz has provided HealthDrive with senior management expertise in Regulatory Affairs, Information Technology, Operations and Reimbursement services. His 30 years of experience has helped HealthDrive grow from a small, local healthcare provider to a large, multi-state, multi-specialty healthcare organization covering twelve states across the U.S. He spearheaded the company’s proprietary medical billing software and electronic health record software.

John S. Sepe

VP Corporate Development

John Sepe has served as Vice President of Corporate Development since 2008. He has more than 29 years of healthcare related sales, leadership and executive management experience. Prior to HealthDrive, Mr. Sepe was Vice President of Business Development for ProStep Rehabilitation. He was also Regional Director of Sales for MobilexUSA, and Regional Sales Manager for McKesson Corporation, retail pharmacy division. Mr. Sepe holds a B.S. from Providence College in Business Administration, with marketing and management concentration.

Fred Stratmann

General Counsel and VP - Regulatory

Fred Stratmann joined HealthDrive in 2021, with more than ten years’ experience in long-term care.  He is responsible for HealthDrive’s legal, compliance and regulatory functions.  He has served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for the CommuniCare Family of Companies, a large-multi-state skilled nursing provider and as General Counsel and VP of Compliance for Granite Recovery Centers.  Mr. Stratmann holds a Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School in Columbus Ohio, and is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, Maryland, New York and Ohio.

Vikas Sachdeva

Chief Information Officer

Vikas, an award-winning and visionary technology leader, is passionate about driving digital transformations through data-driven AI and cloud solutions. His success is evident: At Quantiphi, as Global Head of Advisory and Portfolio Executive, he established their impactful advisory practice from the ground up. As CTO at Accelare, he led strategic IT transformations for diverse public and private sector clients. At Edible Arrangements, as CIO/CTO, he enhanced e-commerce and retail, boosting revenue, security and stability. At The Hartford Financial Services, Vikas engineered a unified digital operating model, streamlining enterprise digital services across all lines of business. Vikas collaborates with C-suite executives to craft impactful IT strategies that deliver business results and superior customer experiences.

Vikas holds a Master’s in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with Honors.

Helen Zarba

Chief People Officer

Helen Zarba joined HealthDrive in 2024 as Chief People Officer. As a key member of the HealthDrive Executive team, Helen is responsible for optimizing our people practices and enhancing our culture so that HealthDrive continues its reputation as a great place to work. Originally from the UK, Helen has held a number of senior HR positions both domestically and internationally in a variety of industries. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Warwick University UK, and a master’s degree from Reading University UK, and is a trained mediator and coach.
